Fathers Day, June 21st, 2009

Fathers Day is this Sunday, so I’m going to go a little off topic here. I feel the need to indulge in a little remembrance. My dad, David L. Harlow Jr. has been gone from me for 18 years now. That is so hard for me to believe. He was only 56 when he passed.

I learned a lot of things from my dad. Some good, and some bad. I think you’re going to find that in pretty much any parent/child relationship. We are humans, and none of us are perfect. My dad was not perfect, and I can’t say that I have been the perfect Father myself. The important thing is that we do care for, and love our children deeply.

I’m not one to dwell on negative issues. What is is. What was was. Life goes on. I do however revel in the good things in my past present and future. My Dad taught me a great deal about life. He introduced me to the wonders of nature. Time we shared hunting and fishing together are precious memories to me.

He taught me about unconditional love. Even though my dad had a bad temper, there was never any doubt to me that he had love fully in his heart. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He’d strike up a friendly conversation with a perfect stranger in a heartbeat. He loved to laugh, and joke, and simply enjoy life. I can so remember his smile. It was brilliant and REAL!

He taught me about self confidence. There was nothing that he was afraid to try to do. He wasn’t always good at the things he tried, but he didn’t care. He at least had tried to do it. That is one of my strongest traits. I owe this to him.

He taught me to take the time to slow down and enjoy the little, simple things in life. The sounds, smells, sights, and excitement of everyday things. Laughter, the babble of running water along a mountain stream. Wood smoke from a campfire. Frost on autumn leaves in the early morning. Family get togethers. The importance of saying I Love You.

This is the legacy that I gained from my Father. Take some time this weekend to reflect on exactly what it is that your Father has passed on to you. Do something extra special for him while he is still in your life.
I miss you Dad, and I Love You.

To All of the Fathers out there, have a terrific Fathers Day!!!

Meet My Friend Denyse Duhaime

Denyse Duhaime on Twitter

Denyse Duhaime on Twitter

Hi All!! I hope you are having a fantastic Monday Morning. Since it is Monday, I want to introduce you to another of my great Twitter friends, Denyse Duhaime. Denyse has great wit, charm and personality in her Tweets, and she just might be able to help you save a buck or two while she’s at it. Let’s hear from Denyse:)

Describe your business persona.

I have owned many different types of business over the course of my life. They vary from retail stores in our community to stores and businesses on the internet. I have been a power seller on Ebay selling Antiques and also Art Rubber Stamps. Currently I own along with my daughter, a Art Rubber Stamp Company, Lasting Impressions with Panache, http://www.lasimppan.com , and have been in business with it since 1994. I am also an Internet Marketer, a niche marketer, and love to share positive motivation to others that are growing their internet businesses. I currently own several internet businesses under the main business name of Dela Marketplace.

Let Everyone Know Briefly Who You Are & Where Your From?

I am married to my husband, Bob, and a mom to one grown daughter, Laura. Our 13 yr old Maltese rounds out our family. I was born and raised in New Hampshire, but have lived in MA for over 35 years now. I live on the North Shore of Boston and love being so close to the city, yet I can keep my small town values. I have built a website based on my constant struggle with weight loss. You can read about my struggles and my life at http://www.weightlossmystory.com .

Let Everyone Know What Your Passionate About?

I love people. I love to help people and to help them understand that they are important. So many of us hear others tell us that our idea will not fly, that we are unable to do something that we want to try. I feel that there are great opportunities for all of us out there, and that you can be successful. Nothing will be handed to you, but with hard work and determination, you can and you will succeed. If something does not work, you look at your mistakes and learn from them. It is not that you have failed at something; it is that you have learned new lessons that will help you grow. This is true in all of life, not only in business. I am passionate about my business. I started it on a shoe string and have watched it grow through the years. I am passionate about my customers and hard work and honesty have been the cornerstones my businesses have been built on.

What Are Some Of Your Talents or Skill Sets?

I do not think that I have any more talents than the next person. I think what helps me is that I am able to work independently as I have worked for myself for many years. I have worked in sales most of my life, starting very young, selling Christmas Cards and novelty items so I would have enough money to go to summer camp. I am comfortable selling an old and valuable Antique or a Four dollar Art Rubber Stamp.
I like to write and have found writing content for web sites to be not only challenging, but fun. It has given me a chance to be creative and to explore a different avenue of sales. My daughter, Laura Duhaime, and I have just set up a website that is all resources and products that will help others grow their internet business. It is http://www.delamarketplace.com . I have been learning a lot about SEO and Marketing and have been able to start to put these new lessons into affect. I love the challenge of learning something new and find that Internet Marketing has many exciting aspects of it. You can develop new niches or find deals that you can share with others. You can explore so many different avenues that were not previously available.

Why Should People Follow You?

When I started on Twitter I thought “Who would ever follow me?” Why would they? What could I ever say that would be interesting to others? I have only been on Twitter since Nov 2008, but I have found it to be a wonderful place to meet new people. It is all about the connection. You need to be able to touch people in such a way that they know you are real. I strive to do this each and every day. I talk about my life, my family, my joy and my sorrows. I share lots of deals that I find on line. I have started, with my daughter, a deal blog and then a forum where others can go to find great deals and freebies. The site is at http://www.nothingbutdeals4u.com . I have found in Twitter, a vastly talented group of people. I have been so lucky and very humbled that I have a large following. I try to tweet with each person that makes a personal connection to me. Follow me at http://www.twitter.com/denyseduhaime and let me get to know you as I have tried to show you a small piece of who Denyse Duhaime is.

Denyse I want to personally thank you for all the great contibutions you make to the Twitter community on a daily basis. You have a large following (over 15,000 and counting) because you are a “real” person, and everyone who connects with you can tell that right away. I am honored to have you as a Twitter freind.em>

I encourage all of you reading this to check out Denyse’s sites, and especially, join her, and myself on Twitter. It is a great place to connect to people from all walks of life, and connecting and sharing with others is what it is all about. Denyse definitly has that one figured out. Thanks Denyse!!!

Terry’s Blog (Click Me)

I just want to thank Terry for all he does, and all he contibutes to the RV industry, which being an RV road warrior myself, I am also passionate about. Please check out Terry’s latest Blog post, and Have a teriffic day!!!

Do you dread the screech of the alarm clock each morning? Roll over, cover up your head with the pillow, and say, “Oh God, not another workday already”. Keep hitting the snooze and hope it turns out to be just a bad dream? This is the BIG difference between your J-O-B and successfully operating your own business. Let me take that back. There are people out there that love their jobs, and work for a boss. That’s great. FOR THEM!!

The Entreprenuer has a different mind set. First of all, They Love What They Do. If they cannot be passionate about it, they simply don’t do it. Typically it’s not going to be just one passion either. It will be many. Many times these passions are interrelated, but not always. What are you passionate about? Sit down, and think about it. Make a list of the top 10 things you really, deep down in your heart love to do. DO NOT THINK “CAN I MAKE MONEY DOING IT?” !!!

If you are doing something just for the money, guess what? Now it’s a J-O-B. The fun is gone. The excitement of doing something, just for the love of doing it has been replaced by the almighty dollar. Forget all of that. If you truly love doing a certain thing, then like Nike says, “Just Do It” One of my passions is helping others succeed. That is the primary focus of this blog. To help to teach others things I have come across in my journeys. If it has helped me, I’m sure it will help someone else.

That brings us to the next trait of the Entreprenuer. The love of helping others. Most Entreprenuers have gotten where they are by learning from the school of Experience. Having gained that experience, they typically enjoy sharing that information with others, to help them succeed and grow also, and hopefully smooth out some of the bumps that will be encountered along the way.

You may set there reading this, saying to yourself, “Yeah but look at all the Banner ads you have on your site.” Ok, let’s look at them for a moment. MLMLSP Pro. What is the toughest part of Internet Marketing? Generating leads. Without leads, you have nothing, nadda, zilch. Are you a master at bringing in leads? If you are, then you are better than most of us, and need to set up and sell your own method. Truly you do! I personally have found MLMLSP Pro to be very helpful in teaching me the ins and outs, ups and downs of lead generation. Great teachers, great resources, and a great place to learn internet marketing skills. I love it, I believe in it, it helps to achieve my passion of helping others succeed, so I fully promote it to others. If it wasn’t worth a flip, I wouldn’t waste my time.

Trying to promote worthless Products, Ideas, or Information, is like trying to sell carmel apples to toothless people. It’s not much good to them so they ignore it. Or they slobber all over it, but can never really get anything out of it. LOL. How’s that for a visual?

Next let’s look at ECC. Extreme Cash Coaching . Here is another great learning tool. Marketing, and advertising skils are essential to any online endeavour. Are you a master at setting up Google PPC campaigns? Do you know how to effectively market on Safe-Lists? Through Emails? How about through You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace? If you have these mastered, then what are you doing here? I have found ECC to be the best learning resource I have seen to date for teaching myself and tons of others how to perform these skills.

Finally, let’s look at Magnetic Sponsoring. Yet another opportunity to learn the art of attracting leads. Isn’t that what online marketing is all about? Notice, that I use the BROAD term of Internet Marketing. There are so many varied marketing styles, and intrests on the net, yet Magnetic Sponsoring is effective in any type of intrest you may have. From baking Habenjero Chocolate Chip Cookies, to building a client base for your business. Magentic Sponsoring is again, effective, and a worthwile learning tool.

Ok, enough for now, as I’m trending towards digression. The point is, Love what you do. Do it with passion in your heart. Do it with fire in your spirit. If you approach life with this attitude, and with the purpose of sharing your passion with others, you simply cannot help but achieve greatness in life.

So from me to you, Here is to your Passion, Prosperity, and Total Success!!!
