All Expenses Paid…

Does your business PAY you for your Expenses?

Expenses Paid = Success

Expenses Paid = Success

If your answer was no, do you realize how much money you are losing right now?

Is it not crazy to expect this?

This is the REAL Secret of the Top Income Earners who dominate on the internet. Which of these do you make a Regular Income from?

• Domain Name
• Web Hosting
• Monthly Program Fees
• Advertising Costs
• Marketing Tools
• Marketing Training

If you said, “Yes Steve, I make a Consistent Residual Income off of one or many of these items” then I want to congratulate you on being a Very Savvy Online Marketer who is already leading the Pack. You already see the reason this MUST happen in your business. YOU are one of the 3% who succeed.

If your answer was No, then Read On!

97% of Internet Marketers Fail. Why? Simple, for “them” these items are always EXPENSES.

Can you imagine what your business would be like if these were daily PROFIT CENTERS? Bringing in a consistent residual income over and over again, every month!

95% of the people you encounter will not join you in your Primary Business. If that is all you’ve got to give, then you have a total strike out. However, if you are also promoting the basic tools that you use day in, and day out then “Watch Out!” You’re about to knock one out of the Park!

One truth is certain in this industry. Marketers may jump from system to system every other month, but they rarely change from the basic tools that they use daily. Most will stick with these same tools for years. You can be profiting from that. If you are not then you are literally losing Thousands of dollars a year!

This is not a new concept. As stated earlier “This is the REAL Secret of the Top Income Earners who dominate on the internet”. The “Guru’s” know this. They profit from it daily. If you have ever read Magnetic Sponsoring by Mike Dillard, then you will be familiar with this concept.

What does it currently cost you per month for your domain hosting (if you have it) Ballpark 10 bucks a month. Any webhosting site worth a nickel will ask you to sign up as an affiliate. How much do they pay out? 9 times out of 10, if you get 3 people to join your web host, you now have FREE WEBHOSTING!

What about domain names? Everyone has to have them. Give them your affiliate link to GoDaddy, or whatever domain name seller you are associated with. If they have to get it, they might as well get it through you!

Advertising costs. Everyone has to advertise to some extent. What are some of your top pullers for paid advertising? Give out those affiliate links. That’s what they are there for. Typically with 3 or 4 sign ups, you now have FREE ADVERTISING!

Auto Responder? Training books? Membership fees? The list goes on and on, and typically in each of these instances, 2, 3 or 4 sign ups, will provide an income that make these services to you FREE!!

All Expenses Paid!!

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know, that if this portion of your business is being paid for by others, then everything after that is the cream off the top. This makes it OK for those who say no to your primary system. This is the “funded proposal system” at work.

Put it to use today in your business, and go from Mediocrity to Total Success!!

Internet Marketing advertising is a keystone tool in your business. That said, why do so many marketers make simple, silly, “not paying attention” mistakes?

Have you ever come across an interesting email ad, click on it, only to get a 404 File not Found message? How frustrating this is for the potential visitor. They were actually taking the time to visit you, but you were too rushed to get something else done, and didn’t check your link before you sent the message.

You’ve not only wasted the visitors time, but you also wasted your own time, and resources in creating a useless ad.

Here is another common mistake made primarily by “newbies” to Internet Marketing. You click on their ad link, and get either a “domain does not exist” message, or many times find yourself on the “GoDaddy.com” website looking at a message saying this site is parked here for free. The poor “newbie” in their excitement to get their word out to the world, forgot , or did not know how, to activate their domain name to a server. Again, more wasted time.

Next come Flash Animations. It is a proven marketing fact, that you have on average about 3 to 5 seconds to capture your prospects attention, and get a message in their brain to keep reading.If it takes 20 seconds for your page to load because of all the Flash and Videos…… that visitor has already moved on to someone else’s site in that amount of time.

Even if the page does load quickly, what is the flash doing besides getting in your face, and actually diverting your attention AWAY from the real intent, the real message, the real call to action?

And finally there is Audio. This is becoming a big hit in Internet Marketing ads latley. When you click on a link, and suddenly your speakers are screeching at full volume, with a message that sounds like a carnival barker selling tickets to the freak show…….”CLICK”……. that person is gone from all that noise. Audio is a good thing, when used to explain an idea, or to state your business in a professional manner.

But when it only says “HEY, OVER HERE, LISTEN TO ME BLAB ON ABOUT NOTHING SO YOU DON’T REALLY GET MY MESSAGE” You have once again just wasted a lot of time and resources for a useles ad.

So take your time with this important task. Put some thought into it, and make people WANT to continue to read, or to listen to what you have to say.

Hi Folks.

I hope you have had an empowered week this week.

So far we have covered

• 1) Purchasing a Domain Name
• 2) Signing up with a Web Host
• 3) Setting up WordPress
• 4) Installing a Theme on WordPress

Now, before we move on to Step 5, let’s connect the dots with what we have so far.

Once you have signed up with a web host such as InMotionHosting.com you will need to “point” your Domain Name at it. Your web host will provide you with special links, called Name Servers, to do this. There will be 2 different Name Servers, and they each will have their own IP address.

With this info in hand, you will now go to the provider that you purchased your Domain Name from, such as GoDaddy.com simply go into the Domain Manager console, click on the icon that says Nameserver, and input the nameserver information you got from your Web Host. It will probably be 24 hours before you see the change go into effect, but once it does, when you type in your domain name in your browser, it will now take you to your web host.

By now you should have downloaded the WordPress program, the Flexibility Theme for your blog, and Filezilla for your FTP Manager. First, unzip the WordPress program. Be sure you unzip it to a file that you can easily get back to. Save it in My Documents, or some other easily remembered file on your computer. Next you want to unzip the Flexability Theme into your WordPress. Click on the file that you saved WordPress to. Click on the WordPress file. Next click on the file there called content. You see the file there called Themes? That is where you want to unzip the Flexability Theme, into this file. Click unzip to, and then browse to this folder, then unzip.

The next step for your WordPress, is to tell it what it’s web host is going to be. Click on WordPress. Then scroll down to the file there call wp-config. Click on that file. It should open up with Word Notepad. There are only 3 things you need to change here. This is what it looks like:

// ** MySQL settings – You can get this info from your web host ** //
/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘ENTER THE NAME OF YOUR DATABASE HERE BETWEEN QUOTES’);

/** MySQL database username */
define(‘DB_USER’, ‘ENTER YOUR DATABASE USERNAME HERE BETWEEN QUOTES”);

/** MySQL database password */
define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘ENTER YOUR DATABASE PASSWORD HERE BETWEEN QUOTES’)

That’s it. Click save, and close the file.

Now you want to Open and Install Filezilla. This does NOT go into the WordPress. Open and install this to its own file. Just follow the wizard. Once you’ve installed Filezilla, click on the Site Manager icon. Now click on Add New. Enter the information that it asks for to give it access to your Cpanel of your Web Host.

In the Filezilla control screen you will see 4 windows. The left side says local site. (That is your computer) The right side says Remote Site. That is the Cpanel of your webhost site. When you are connected to your web host you want to find the file in the right side window called public_html. This is the file on your web host where you will install your WordPress program. Now, in the left screen, browse through the files until you get to your WordPress file. Click on Worpress, and all of the files that are contained in Worpress will now show up in the lower left screen. Now, the simplest way to do this transfer, is to right click, and drag to select ALL of the files in the lower left side screen. Then simply left click and hold, then DRAG the files over to the right panel and drop them into the public_html file.

That’s it. Your files will then begin transferring. It will take a few minutes, as there are quite a few files. Once they are all done loading close Filezilla, then open your web browser. Go back to the Cpanel of your web host. Click on your website from there. The first time you do this a window should pop up saying information needed. Fill in the form, and be sure you enter your correct email, your password to your blog is going to be sent there.

Check your email, get, and SAVE your password. DO NOT LOSE IT!!! It is not retrievable. Click on your website from the Cpanel again. Now a screen pops up to log in. For ease of use, I suggest saving this to favorites, then all you have to do is click on it and go.

Well, this has been a long and technical post. Now you are on the web. There’s still a lot to do. Step 5 which will be the topic of the next post will be about Autoresponders. This will be the backbone of your marketing, and another important step. Until then,

Step by step process of setting your business up on the internet. Part 1

Ok. You’ve decided that you want to do set up a business on the internet. BUT, you really have no clue where to start. This quick little step by step procedure will give you good information, and links to tutorials that will help you set up your business on the internet through the use of a blog. This is the most cost effective way to get started, yet still be able to “do your own thing” as far as the look, feel, and content of your website.

First of all, you are going to want to purchase a domain name. You really need to spend a little time with this, and put some thought into it. A big, long, cumbersome URL, is going to be a pain in the butt to type in a zillion times (FOR YOU) so try to keep it short. You do not want a URL like http://www.tomsbrickandmortarinternetstore.com. You are better of to start off with variations of your own name first. www.tombailey.com, or www.tom-bailey.com. Maybe tbailey. Maybe successwithtom. Whatever you choose, make it simple, easy to remember, and as catchy as possible. Make it relevant to what you are promoting. www.ilovedogs.com doesn’t do real good at selling cat food. Catch my drift?

Ok, now, where to get the Domain name. I suggest the fastest, cheapest path available. http://www.godaddy.com. Once you choose and purchase your very own .com or .net from GoDaddy that is it for now. Leave it as a “Parked” domain. We will come back to it shortly.

Next, what are you going to do with this Domain name you just bought? You’re going to “Host it”. What the heck is that?!!! You are going to make this the URL name, or website address of your blog. There are “FREE” blogs, such as Blogspot, then there are “hosted” blogs. What is the difference? A FREE blog, can simply up and decide to “freeze” your account because they do not like something on your blog. Basically just plain shut you down. After all of the hard work you have put into it, POF, it’s gone. That is why I recommend using a “HOSTED” site. Ok, hosted means either a monthly fee, or paying for a year in advance. So what? This IS going to be a business. Right? And as such, there are going to be “BUSINESS” related expenses. (If you think you will do all of this for free and earn a full time living at it, I suggest you stick to your day job.)

There are a lot of companies to choose from for web hosting. What you want to look for is reliability. If the web hosts servers are constantly going down, then guess what? Your Blog is not able to be accessed by anyone either. The web host that I use and recommend is www.Inmotionhosting.com. As little as $ 6.95 per month. That’s only $ 83.40 a year. They are very reliable, very helpful, and the price is right for a ground floor internet business.
All right, that’s as far as we go for tonight. We will continue this tutorial again in part 2 which I will have posted in a day or two. Thanks are all of your support and emails.
