The truth? The key to your success as an e-mail marketer is communication. If you cannot connect with your target market then your business will suffer.

Getting results through safelists is not as difficult as it may seem. Those who struggle to get great results often blame the resource. I hear it all the time, “Oh There is TOO much competition there”, “No one ever reads the ad”, “ It’s a big waste of time”. Guess what? Those people are wrong! The numbers are there to support a great response. That puts the burden of results solely on the user. Remember the old adage, that “It’s a poor craftsman who blames his tools.” The same holds true here as well.

Every time I log onto a safe list account, I’m amazed at how many people are missing out on this key technique. Thousands upon thousands of e-mails run through my Gmail account daily. The majority are deleted. HOWEVER…

Those who understand that Communication and Interest must take place KNOW HOW to create a subject line which will +~+~+~STAND OUT ~+~+~+ on a page loaded with fifty to one hundred subject lines. These are the marketers who are getting the ULTIMATE in results!

There are many things marketers do wrong when marketing to safelists, here are some of the more common mistakes…

SEO For Your WP Blog

SEO, short for Search Engine Optimization, is a whole science in itself when it comes to driving traffic to your blog or website. If you have been in the Marketing arena for any length of time, you are sure to have at least heard the term Page Rank. Without writing an entire report on Page Rank, the term refers to a numerical value that Google assigns to your site that “Ranks” your sites importance on the web.

The majority of Blogs out there have a Page Rank of ZERO. This does not mean it’s a bad site by any means. It DOES mean that it is missing out on potential Search Engine traffic that they can be receiving FOR FREE! FREE=GOOD!…

Here are 5 very simple and also FREE steps that you can do that will get you a page rank of ONE with about an hour of work, and within about a 1 to 2 week time period. Is that a page rank of 6 or 7? No, it takes time and Quality Keyword Optimized Content, to build up to that. But a rank of ONE for an hours work, is foolish to pass up… Here Goes…

Step 1) You need a Gmail account for this. Add Google Analytics to your Google account. Here is a link for it: http://www.google.com/analytics/ Follow the set up instructions. Google will then give you a code that you will need to paste into your blog. Don’t worry, there’s a simple tool for that.

Once done, it will recommend that you add a Site Map to your site so that Google can properly “crawl” the site. Never fear, there’s a simple tool for that also.

Step 4) Download and install the WP Sitemap Generator. Here’s the link: http://wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator
As before, simply follow the setup instructions that come with the plugin. Once activated, it will automatically notify Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask.com about your site.

Step 5) One more WP Plugin for you. Now download and install the WP Platinum SEO Pack. Here’s the link: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/platinum-seo-pack/ Once installed, follow the set up recommendations found on the Plug in site to optimize the information that your blog posts will automatically send out to the search engines.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

The future is here today! The Internet is now the New Business Marketplace. It generates Billions of dollars a year, and will soon grow to trillions. You are “finally” in the right place at the right time.

Let’s look at what it takes to create a successful “Brick and Mortar” business. You have to have a building or rented space to house it. This means a mortgage or rent, taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, employees, compensation plans… This is just the tip of the iceberg!

On top of that, you have to have most if not all of this in place BEFORE you can really even begin to do business. No wonder so many close their doors in the first 6 months. The overhead kills them quickly.

But the Internet… That’s a whole nother animal! With as little as $ 200 in start up capital, you can literally grow a million dollar business from your kitchen table. Once you learn the ropes and know what you are doing, you can basically write your own paycheck, and set it up to happen automatically. You truly do not have to be actively working in order to get paid. The “Make Money While You Sleep” thing is for real, ONCE YOU LEARN HOW!!!

You are continually bombarded with promises of overnight wealth, instant success, and turn key fully automated businesses. The truth of the matter is, people who have success on the Internet, get there by 1 of 2 methods.

The first method is the School Of Hard Knocks. You get started, waste tons of time and money, and then through shear determination, and trial & error, you hit on an actual working model that launches your fortune. (Unfortunately this was the path I traveled for over a year). You’ve got to have a HUGE desire to succeed to keep you going through the pain you find on this path.

The second path is the better route. Find someone who will take you by the hand and lead you through the maze. Someone who will tell you, and SHOW you exactly what to do. This should be someone you trust, and you simply take action by following their lead to success.

Don’t fall into the Guru cesspool. Don’t fall for all of those testimonials. Do you truly realize how that stuff works? If it is not an out right fabrication, then at best, they take a couple of people and “Groom” them to success, by giving them inside access to all of their personal million dollar advertising programs and private marketing lists.

They never actually “teach” them anything. It’s all a dog and pony show, so that the Guru can say “See even a newbie can do this with my system.” Those are the sad facts of life sorry to say.

Then we’ve got all of these $ 47 and $ 97 Ebook Success systems. PAleeease!!! Most of this stuff is just total CRAP. Sorry to be blunt. 90% of this rubbish is generated by “for hire” freelance writers who get paid a couple hundred bucks each to crank out Ebook after Ebook. Then it gets marketed to you for 97 bucks a pop. Just walk away from this.

Today we want to focus on, what things you really need to stop, and have a good hard look at, when it comes to joining a business opportunity. How do you evaluate its potential for success?

Finding That Gold Nugget

There are basically 4 core ingredients that every system must have in order for you to succeed at it. Actually there are FIVE, but we’ll get to that a little later.

1) The system must have an excellent product(s). They must be in high demand, and they must be easy to sell. Easy to sell in this case means, they are so good, and so needed by your client base, that they basically sell Themselves. These sales will generate income for your fledgling companies growth. It will also provide long term residual income that will continue for years afterwards.

2) There must be a Detailed, Effective, and Efficient method for selling the product(s). You should never have to “Guess at” what is going to work. It should be laid out for you step by step. It should teach you exactly how to set it up, and give you DETAILED daily marketing procedures that you must perform. You should NEVER have to rely on a Guru, or a Sponsor to tell you what to do next.

3) The system should then explain to you Exactly how to put item 1 and item 2 together in the best way possible. This means that it not only tells you how to perform results based marketing, but shows you how to do it in the least amount of time as possible.

4) So, you have a great product, a great training program and have been trained in Sound Marketing Strategies. Everything you now have combined should give you the ability AND the confidence that you can replace your current income, and then some, in as little as 12 months.

Once again, 12 Months is FAST!!!………

Ok, we said there is a Fifth Element involved here. What can that be? Hmmm… it’s YOU!!! You are the keystone that holds it all together. The piece that Makes it or Breaks it. You are the Primary determining factor in the success of your business.

Remember the TRUTH’s that we talked about earlier. Once you learned them, you gave up the right to blame anyone else but yourself for your successes and your failures.

Every business is going to require that you spend at least a Minimum amount of time working with it. There is No Such Thing as a 100% Auto-Pilot Business. Again, there are a ton of hucksters out there that will vehemently cry “Oh yes There Is!” Again, follow this sage advice… “Take the Red Pill Neo”…see reality for what it truly is.

For your business to even function you will need to spend 1 to 3 hours Per Day working on it. Remember, this is the MINIMUM! You can either commit to that, or plan on retiring from your current J-O-B at 70. That’s the bottom line.

To get to a financially free state in 12 months (depending on the pay plan of your system) you have got to spend a bare minimum of 10 to 15 hours a week working it. If you want Bigger rewards, and Quicker results, then you have to spend Longer amounts of time doing the work. The work of promoting your business, and yourself.

As long as you are consistent and complete your minimum requirements daily you will be successful. Skipping a few days and trying to make up for it on the weekend will only slow the process down.

Are You Stuck in a Rut?

The first step is to simply open up a blank Word document. Then, start typing. “Type WHAT!!” You are asking. Type about YOU! Write your marketing History. Past, Present, and Future.

Sit down and ask yourself, Ok, what did I really need to know when I first started into Internet Marketing? What did I know a little about, and what was I totally clueless at. What was my mindset? What things did I believe then, that I found later where untrue? What did I not believe, to find later WAS true?

OK, that was the past. Now, where am I at in marketing today? Is my business where I want it to be? Is my income level where I want it to be? What things do I still feel unsure of? What things do I truthfully know I need to make improvements in? What am I truthfully NOT doing that I know I really should be doing?

OK, now, what do I feel I am doing right? What is working for me consistently? Where am I seeing constant growth? What am I doing now that I did not think possible 12 months ago? What milestones have I achieved? What have I truly learned?

And finally, how am I going to improve, or correct the deficiencies? What am I going to commit to doing to change the things I am currently dissatisfied with? What am I willing to do to achieve the success I want? What steps am I going to take to get there. What is my ULTIMATE goal?

The secret to success with this little self diagnosis is to not set and deliberate on it. Just ask yourself the questions in your head, and start typing the answers on that blank page. You will truly be amazed at what this little self inspection will reveal to you. I can hear you saying now, “I don’t want to type my biography up!” The good news is, you can usually do this in about 15 minutes in 500 words or less. It is no more and no less than writing a PERSONAL article meant only for YOU! Just about the same length of this blog post.

Try this technique for yourself the next time you feel stuck and need inspiration.
