Setting Attainable Goals is truly the only way to succeed. Let’s compare it to a football game. If you focus on the end of the game you are going to lose before you even have the kick off. You have to take it play by play, yard by yard, and quarter by quarter. Yes, the ultimate goal is to win the game, but you have to make realistic decisions in the meantime in order to reach the end.
Your first goal is to make a first down, then a second down, all the time planning simply for that next step that will get you close to that first touchdown. You’re going to suffer setbacks. You’re going to fumble the ball sometimes, and lose ground, so you re-focus on the goal of making up that ground…working the ball down the field. If you are playing the game correctly, and using the correct methods and strategies for the situation you finally accomplish a larger goal… you make a Touchdown!
