Quality Article Marketing is a surefire method of attracting traffic to your website. Most folks just starting out in Internet Marketing will find that they have more Time, than they do Money, to invest in their website promotion.

There are basically 2 methods of marketing your articles:

1) Writing articles, reviews, and commentaries and posting them to
your blog or website.

2) Piggybacking your articles on high page rank article directories,
blogs and websites.

The first method is a given. Writing your own unique content for your blog or website is essential for any marketer. However if you limit yourself to this exclusively, you will miss out on the lions share of the available traffic out there.

By syndicating your articles to several different online sources, you are creating tons of links back to your site. Links back = traffic back. That’s the goal here. By “piggybacking” your articles to high PR sites, you will be able to filter traffic from those sites to yours.

The real perks of this traffic is:

1) It’s FREE

2) It is Targeted. They are coming to your site,
because they already read something of yours, and they want
to know more.

Let’s take EzineArticles.com for example. This directory has a high page rank with Google, and a great Alexa rating. By submitting an original, quality and content rich article to EzineArticles.com you guarantee yourself some visits from the readership of this directory. This directory alone has several thousands of visitors on a daily basis. That is a LOT of potential eyeballs to view your article. Several of these are going to click the link you provide in your Bio.

Another perk to submitting to article directories is the potential for your article to get picked out by an Ezine Publisher, and placed in their Ezine. Again this is choice targeted traffic that is interested in what you have written, and are looking for more.

The top 5 High PR Article Directories I recommend are:

ezinearticles.com
ArticlesBase.com
buzzle.com
articlealley.com
goarticles.com

One thing that you want to avoid is blasting the same article out there to 50 different directories. The search engines do NOT like this, as it creates a bunch of duplicate content. Your standing in the search engine rankings will suffer as a result. It is suggested that you stick to submitting to only 4 or 5 top directories, and that if you are using the same article, take the time to create 4 or 5 different variations of that article that are at least 50 to 70 % different in content from each other. This will assure you that you avoid duplicate content penalties.

Article Marketing is a surefire method to attract free traffic for you. But you have got to be willing to spend your time and effort as the “currency” to pay for this traffic.

Do in depth research on your subject. Know what it is you are talking about. Make it useful to people, so that they will want to come to you for more information. Write clearly and plainly. You are not writing a Thesis for an Oxford Scholarship here. For 99 percent of your readers will be average everyday people like yourself.

USE YOUR SPELLCHECKER!!! There is nothing more unprofessional than an article full of misspelled words, and grammatical errors.

I is a college gradgiate is not going to instill much trust in your reader no matter what it is you have to offer.

I hope you have gained some useful; insights from this post.

Social Media Marketing, Network Marketing, Internet Marketing, Online Marketing, Affiliate MarketingSocial Media, the Web 2.0 phenomenon that has begun to dominate the Internet Marketing industry. How is it being used, and why?

With the huge surge in Facebook, and Twitter users in the last 2 years, It’s easy to see the “WHY”. Here is an enormous gathering place of individuals, all meeting, greeting, sharing ideas, and building relationships. Any savvy marketer knows that good business can be obtained, simply by creating good relationships. Let’s use an analogy here.

In the “real time” world, Joe the Dry Cleaner has coffee at the local donut shop every morning before work. Bob the Car Dealer from down the street does also. Over time, they get to know one another, strike up conversations about common interests, and learn a little about each other’s business.

One day Bob is checking on a client’s car in the shop, and brushes against a mechanics rag getting grease on his sports coat. What’s he going to do? “Hey my buddy Joe down the street can probably take care of this for me”. He uses Joe’s services because he has gotten to know him and trust him.

A month later, Joe is ready to trade in his car. Where’s the first place he is going to think about? Over to see his friend Bob, because he knows he will be treated fairly and honestly by him.

This is a great analogy of how things work in the online world of Social Media also.

Here is what DOES NOT work.

Between Joe’s Dry Cleaning, and Bob’s Car Dealership, is Fred’s Furniture Store. Fred comes into the donut shop every once in awhile also. He is loud, he is pushy. He is always trying to pitch his business over coffee, and he is just plain annoying. He plasters bright lights and huge banners all over the front of his store, and floods the radio and TV with his loud, annoying Commercials over and over again.

As you might guess, Joe and Bob steer well clear of Fred’s simply because they are sick of the daily battering they get from his pushy sales style.

Joe and Bob both tell their customers about each others business’s and recommend that they go there. If either of them are asked if they know a good furniture store, they will likely mention one in the next town over before they mention Fred’s.

So now we see the successful way that Social Media can be used, and the Twit’s way of using it.

What strategies do you use?
